My name is Rita Konig.

I am a contributing editor at Domino

and British Vogue,

and I also am an interior designer.

I suppose my style is sort of feminine,

and very light actually.

In the summer I always like to wear dresses

because they re so cool,

when it s very hot.

This dress is from Mint.

And I love the sort of juxtaposition

of a young label in satin,

and I quite like the idea

of wearing it with a slouchy cardigan.

You need cardigans in New York really,

because all the buildings are so cold.

This is my starring role summer dress.

This is a very, I think,

so simple but very feminine neckline.

In a house, you want the rooms to flow one to the other.

And I always think you need a pallet

that runs through the house.

And I think the same is for clothes.

You don t want a series of different outfits

of schizophrenic.

This is Rachel Comey s dress which I love,

which I bought for this summer and worn already.

There s something that makes you feel so sexy and elegant

wearing a strapless dress.

The summer, it just shouldn t be too serious,

you don t want luxury brands necessarily

in the way that you do for winter,

where you feel you re buying more serious clothes.

But then I think there are things you also have to mix

because you always want expensive shoes, really.

And that s the shop that you go into and everything

looks like a grownup sweet shop.
