[Model 1] One thing that ties Milanese s style
is that everything is very polished.
[Model 2] People will never go out in the street
with their PJs.

When I was young, I was an Olympic swimmer.
I did the Olympic Games in Montreal, 1976.
And now after 45 years, I am a model.
Today s really warm, so I decided to dress up in this way.
I wear a classic shoes by Chanel.
These are a gift for my son, Aldo.
And my gold chain bag by Bottega Veneta.
Here, the elegance in the street is really high.
I love Milano women s style,
because they are always basic,
but they have a touch of chic.
They are always well-refined.

I think my like, personal aesthetic
is very Nigerian auntie in the 90s, but a little bit punk.
And I dressed very like, nostalgic to my parents,
to my mother.
She used to wear a ton of Masucci, a ton of big glasses.
So I kind of dress like a younger version of my mom.
Everything I m wearing is actually thrifted,
except for the shoes, and rings,
and grills and earrings, all from different places.
And the glasses are, wait, I don t remember, Leo Martini.
I think Milan is fun
because there s different aesthetics.
Anytime I get ready to go out, it s like,
who am I gonna be today, what am I gonna wear?
So I feel like the Milanese style is like that.
Having fun, getting dressed up every day.

I m a fashion designer and I m from Venice.
When you move to Milan, you have to build your own dream,
and this is a very good place to do it.
And that is also why my brand is deeply inspired by Milan.
The brand is called Vitale.
This next collection, for example,
it s inspired by the northern soul scene.
In the northern soul there was a motto which was,
Keep the faith.
And that s what we re gonna say in this collection too.
Cause we need it.
Every day I come here to this street
where the studio is with all my team,
and I think this is very important
for this city to build small, but real groups
of people creating together and sharing the environment.

When I build an outfit,
I start with an item that I m obsessed with,
like bags, shoes, a new pair of trousers, whatever.
I just obsess over something and I play with it.
My glasses are Gucci.
I love them because they re super seventies.
These coordinates of trousers
and sandals is Dolce Gabbana.
It comes from my mom and it s supposed to be high waisted
but I love the blue waist vibe.
The bag is Prada.
I love this bag because it s out of my comfort zone.
It s very futuristic.
And I think that I m like old school and a bit freaky.
What inspires my style?
I love like the street style.
I m not too classic.
So I always like to have something sporty or colorful.
In Milan, everyone has a style.
Either it can be like the old lady at the cafe bar,
or the girl going to uni.
People like to dress well.
[bright upbeat music]
Italians in general are very
like passionate and like loud and fun.
So I feel like Milan passion kind of
represents that to the,
how would I say that in English like,
so like to the next level.
