I don t think you re gonna believe what s

behind this curtain when it drops.

Last season Umit Benan was all about

burying bodies.

This season he s all about burying souls.

[suspenseful music]

What s interesting about your productions

is that the story you re telling

becomes so big that the clothes

become almost just like an accessory.

That s why I got into the business.

You know, the only thing that interests

me is telling a story.

It s always a story that comes up to my mind

and I create and I write about the story

and then I start dressing the people that I find.

I never start designing it first.

I though that was fantastic.

The clothes were great, they always are with Umit.

I think the staging was really sweet.

It was a really clever idea.

He s got a very unique kind of creativity

that would fit just as well in Paris,

but it happens to be here.

I think he s broadening his offerings.

What you saw here is actually a full wardrobe

in a different way than I thought you had seen,

it s suspense.

[Tim] It s about a man who once loved a woman

who loves menswear so that s a fairly

straightforward tale.

It was very personal.

It s about a relationship that I had

in the past that meant a lot to me.

It wasn t just about the woman wearing those

men s clothes, it was about the mentality,

it was about her strength and power towards life,

you know being very independent as a women.

This collection, especially, it was about

this person s own wardrobe.

The colors I use only the colors

that she has in her wardrobe.

This is what she always wears.

The double breasted suit.

The color is a hundred percent is about

her own personal style.

[Tim] When you put the clothes

in a context like that,

does it make you kind of appreciate them more

when you see them actually living a life in front of you?

Absolutely.

You can see, you can dream it, and you can feel it

so makes me wanna go buy them all.

I love this guy.

He s so talented.

We were having us a quiet sweepstakes going

is like that one s still moving,

I think that s probably Umit

and then we were like we ll wait and see

and then of course there was a finale

and up he jumped.

I thought it was a nice idea.

[Tim] I ve always said that fashion was autobiography,

but I ve never, ever seen anybody go to quite

as explicit a length.

I said why am I in it

and it doesn t make sense if I m not

gonna go all the way.
