This morning, Kate Middleton paid a visit to Stockwell Gardens Nursery and Pre-School in London, England, where she met with staff and helped prepare breakfast for the kids. For the occasion, the Duchess of Cambridge wore her signature polished overcoat, this time in teal, pairing it with black skinny jeans and a delicate, high-neck sweater from Sezanne in white. Her choice of shoes was also signature Kate; she opted for a comfortable ankle boot, which has been her go-to style this winter.
Typically favoring chunky-heeled boots from brands such as Jimmy Choo and L.K. Bennett in the past, Middleton wore Aquatalia’s Fallon Dry boots in suede this time around. She has worn the shoe for a few prior appearances; while it has mostly sold out, a few retailers still have the style in stock. The smart footwear toes the line between dressy and casual, and the thick block heel adds height to her ensemble without sacrificing comfort. Sure, her preferred shoe may not be the chunky combat boots that have been trending all season, but they’re certainly a more casual-cool alternative to the pin-thin princess shoes Middleton often sports—while still remaining perfectly regal.
