Today, Kim Kardashian West left the office in Los Angeles where she is taking private classes to become a lawyer wearing a casual outfit that was far from the suited get-up that she wore to the White House in June. Instead, the student wore a white snakeskin print jacket, a long white T-shirt, loose white pants, and a pair of Yeezy sneakers. The full look resembled a typical Kanye-style silhouette, but appeared to have been matched to her reading material and the white binder she carried. Fun fact: This isn’t the first time that KKW has channeled her literature through her look. Back in May, she sat poolside, presumably studying, while wearing a blue swimsuit and holding a matching notebook.

As for Kim’s current reading material? Well, everyone seems to have a book in their hand these days like the sisters Hadid. But KKW is raising the bar when it comes to her choices. She didn’t step out with a beach read or a casual in-flight novel, but the 1,125-page Cases and Materials on Criminal Law, a hefty required piece of reading for someone studying to become a criminal lawyer with plans to take the California Bar Exam in 2022. The book was written by Joshua Dressler, one of the most noted experts in criminal law. The 4.4-pound book isn’t cheap either, clocking in at $245, or a little less than a pair of Yeezys.
