Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini literally stopped traffic in Milan the other day. The Attico designers stood on the cobblestone streets at Fashion Week in their neon pink and blue stilettos and micromini dresses. They posed for the street style cameras looking blissfully unaware of the chilly air swirling around them—as if they were rebelling against the insufferably long tail end of winter, and they weren’t they only ones. Some wore their microminis with long overcoats, while others tried them on with thigh-high boots. One very brave soul decked himself out in a printed pair of short shorts, which he topped off with a denim blazer and a lime-green top.

It’s not impossible to pull this look off in real life either. Here, five ways to bust out your shortest skirts, dresses, and shorts right now, even as we wait for spring to arrive.
