Shannon Bavaro and Peter Getty’s Wedding
Shannon Bavaro wore an elegant Vera Wang dress for an intimate ceremony at the couple’s home, officiated by U.S. Senator Kamala Harris. Afterwards, there was a celebration at the Getty Mansion, the groom’s parents’ home in San Francisco. There, the bride changed into a Carolina Herrera dress that she describes as “a little more risqué” for late night dancing.
Photo: Sylvie Gil1/28We had an intimate ceremony at home in San Francisco followed by a celebration party later that evening. Here I am getting ready in our master suite with my makeup artist, Bianca Rubi from Archer Salon. She had such a calming effect and her makeup is perfection.
Photo: Sylvie Gil2/28My bouquet of white roses was from Bloomers. They are my personal go-to florist—always feminine and elegant. I wanted a classic bouquet of white roses and added a couple of small, discreet calla lilies, as an homage to my grandmother Margaret’s calla lily wedding bouquet.
Photo: Sylvie Gil3/28I saw these magnificent René Caovilla shoes in New York City. I thought an Italian shoe would be a nice touch, as I am part Italian. Unfortunately, they were sold out. I came home feeling defeated and called my longtime salesman, Felix Magalong, at Neiman Marcus. He said, “I’ll find them if I have to fly to Italy to get them.” Unsurprisingly, Felix came through.
