I can’t be the only one who has been thinking about that explosive White Lotus season-three finale pretty much every day since it aired. When I’m not reliving Chelsea’s (Aimee Lou Wood) tragic death (spoiler alert, but also come on, haven’t we all caught up by now?), I’m wondering what on earth is going on between Wood and her costar Walton Goggins in real life.
While we didn’t get an answer to that question on the first Monday in May, we did get a Met Gala 2025 sighting of Wood and another costar—Patrick Schwarzenegger, who played brash, troubled bro Saxon Ratliff—chatting it up on the red carpet. The two were also interviewed together during the Vogue livestream and posed for photos.
Goggins was there too, of course, goggin’ his way around The Met in a flowing black inside-out Thom Browne skirt paired with a white shirt, black tie, and overcoat—but as of now, there aren’t any photos of him and Wood together.
Obviously, not finding one another at the Met Gala is hardly conclusive proof that Wood and Goggins are at odds, but I’m going to continue wondering about what’s gone on between the two actors until we have a conclusive answer—or at least another season of The White Lotus to occupy all our thoughts. But in a truly fascinating (to me, at least) twist, Wood and Goggins appear to have followed each other on Instagram again sometime during or after the Met Gala. Although they most definitely don’t want to talk about their rumored feud, maybe this is the beginning of a thaw? Time will tell!
