Ariana Grande has had quite the awards season, and she concluded her incredible Wicked press run at the 2025 Oscars tonight by bringing forward her most dramatic Glinda-worthy gown yet. Nominated in the best supporting actress category for her portrayal of the iconic Good Witch, Grande certainly looked the part of a Hollywood leading lady: The star chose a voluminous design from the Schiaparelli spring 2025 couture collection.
The look, styled by Mimi Cuttrell, included a fitted bodice with a shapely peplum, finished with a gauzy white tulle skirt underneath and over 190,000 crystals. The silhouette was inspired by an archival Alberto Giacometti lamp that designer Daniel Roseberry stumbled upon. Grande’s elegant look this evening stayed true to the spirit of her red-carpet style this awards season. In a pale pink color, her gown was in line with the method dressing she’s favored for various premieres and carpets.
At the Golden Globes and SAG Awards, Grande leaned into Glinda pink and glamorous silhouettes. (She loves a princess dress.) The star has also maintained an affinity for vintage. At the Oscars nominees dinner earlier this week, she wore a pink-and-black feathered vintage Yves Saint Laurent gown. For the Globes, she opted for a butter yellow Givenchy dress from 1966. And a black vintage Chanel dress was her look of choice for the Palm Springs Film Festival. Tonight’s Oscars gown, however, is one of her boldest and most avant-garde yet.
