The only thing better than a notable A-lister hitting the red carpet at the annual Cannes Film Festival? Three A-listers hitting the red carpet together.
Earlier today in France, the cast and crew of Spike Lee’s new film, Highest 2 Lowest, attended their photo call ahead of the movie’s grand premiere—including lead stars A$AP Rocky and Denzel Washington. Uniting for a (pretty epic) photo op, Lee, Rocky, and Washington totally stole the show. We’re only halfway through the festival, but we’ve already dubbed them the most delightful Cannes trio of 2025. Sue us!
For starters, their outfits were coordinated to perfection. Ever the modern-day dandy (he wasn’t a Vogue cover star and Met Gala co-chair for nothing), Rocky looked slick in a white single-breasted suit by Miu Miu, a black shirt, and leather loafers. On each side of him, Lee and Washington complemented his black-and-white color scheme—Washington in a black tee and pants, Lee in a white tee and trousers. The coordination? An icons-only move.
But it wasn’t just the perfectly-synced-up outfits that made the three dappers stars a moment at Cannes. It was also their combined energy—and specifically, their cheeky posing—that commanded the spotlight. Each throwing their hands up in the air, as though to proudly show each other off to the mounds of photographers, they brought a certain New York attitude and bond to the mix. (All three stars grew up around the city.) We need more of this unabashed camaraderie at Cannes, where co-star chemistry can often feel so forced. This triple bromance? It’s all real, and we’re obsessed.
