Since arriving in New York City earlier this week, San Francisco native Lily Kwong has been dashing between her hotel suite at the Soho Grand, a flurry of lunches with friends, and, of course, cousin **Joseph Altuzarra’**s New York design studio. “It’s a ritual that I come in for a fitting with Joseph and [stylist] Vanessa Traina each season before the show. I feel quite bad distracting them but it’s fun playing dress up and everyone has an opinion,” she says with a laugh of dropping by the Friday afternoon before the spring 2014 show to choose her front-row look. In anticipation of the big night, Kwong also gives careful thought to her hair and makeup. “I like fresh skin, which starts with good skin care. It’s the most important thing, especially since I travel so much and everything gets so dry,” says the twenty-four year old model, who is a fan of Clarins lightweight, fast-absorbing formulas.

In her travel bag of essentials: the company’s “superhydrating” Double Serum, her favorite Chanel mascara, and her signature Clarins red lipstick—which she paired with a smoky eye for last night’s show. Here, Kwong documents the evening, from her getting-ready makeup ritual to her postshow congratulatory kiss.
