Today, Maison Objet Paris comes to a close. For the design world, this biannual fair is the biggest event of the season. And as has been proved time and time again, the objects shown tend to reverberate well past the event’s end date. And for those of us not currently in the City of Light, Instagram served as a portal into the fair, with a colorful onslaught of the best and brightest items on display. So below, in no particular order, we give you 10 Maison Objet finds we can’t stop thinking about. Designed by industry veterans and relative newbies, you’re sure to see these lamps, chairs, and pieces of decor again sometime soon.
Seletti’s Heart Organ Wall Vases
Seletti’s smart, witty designs are a rising crowd favorite. At Maison Objet, the company showed “cracked” chinaware, reminiscent of their beloved split-design dishes. However, it was Seletti’s heart-shaped wall vases, sculpted to look like actual organs, that took the metaphorical cake.

Mambo Unlimited Ideas’s Tile Panels
While the designers behind this company certainly do have seemingly limitless ideas, they also have two distinct specialties: furniture (often of the velvet variety) and geometric tile panels. Mambo’s Maison Objet stall this year showcased both strengths, but their tile panels were particularly striking. And if blue spaces are a turnoff, don’t worry, they also had an area that was almost entirely pink.

Jonathan Adler’s Black and White Trip
You’ve definitely seen Jonathan Adler’s designs more than a few times. But while his stores often recall the brightly colored world of a 1960s Palm Beach, the designer’s Maison Objet display showcased how he really can encapsulate the spirit of the swinging ’60s best. By limiting his palette to black and white graphic patterns, with only scarlet lip prints as pops of color, Adler packed in design with power and punch.

Chehoma’s Kid-Friendly Corner
When there’s booth after booth (or Instagram after Instagram) of couches and lamps worthy of any beautiful living room, it feels particularly refreshing to see designs geared toward a slightly different audience. Perhaps that’s why Chehoma’s kid-friendly corner was so undeniably appealing. With its pink walls, curling white wicker, and adorable accoutrements, it’s the type of room that any child would want.

Claude Cartier’s irreverent works are on-trend with their mid-century-modern touches, while still being utterly unique. With their bulbous silhouettes and bonbon colors, they’re almost good enough to eat.

Sonia Daubry’s Watery Blooms
Earth-dwelling flowers may not be able to survive underwater, but Sonia Daubry’s latest creations call to mind what camellias and other such blooms might look like if they could. Not sure what exactly you’d do with these types of fabric decorations? Don’t worry, they’re mainly on view to help showcase Daubry’s signature style of textile design.

Tom Dixon’s Architectural Home Scents
Sir Tom Dixon, a self-trained industrial designer who started his business in the ’80s, and whose work is now in MoMA’s collection, is not exactly a new designer to watch. However, Dixon’s line of home scents, and their photogenic installation, stood out as delightfully memorable within the context of his more monumental works. Consider these items sure bets for future wish lists.

Forestier’s Lamps (and Paper Flowers Installation)
French lighting company Forestier showed its latest pendant lamps at Maison Objet. And while the spindly items were eye-catching in and of themselves, it was the paper white roses with which they were displayed that truly made us pause. Minimalism meets detail, in both product and display.

Judeco’s Colorful Interiors
If you like colorful interiors of the tropical variety, then Davey Delaere’s Judeco was the company for you this past week. Admittedly, Maison Objet saw more than a few lush and verdantly inspired pieces, but Judeco’s emerald green and teal painted walls with matching plush seats are the stuff of ideal January daydreams.
