ICYMI: Yesterday was Beyoncé’s birthday, so we basically got two national holidays for the price of one. But never one to take a day off herself, Bey spent her 42nd B’Day performing another sold-out show on her Renaissance World Tour at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

While the tour has produced a lineup of incredible bespoke looks—from Pharrell’s first custom for Louis Vuitton to Marc Jacobs’s Kiki boots—nobody expected anything but the best from the Virgo Queen on her special day. So Beyoncé called in the big guns, deputizing Donatella Versace to create a look for her September 4 performance. The Italian designer delivered, decking out Bey and her dancers in Atelier Versace. “It’s glamorous, it’s irreverent, it’s full of powerful attitude,” Versace told Vogue. “Happy Birthday, Beyonce—thank you for celebrating your Virgo Groove in Versace.  You are always my Queen! 💜”

The blue and yellow mini dress was painstakingly crafted by three members of the Atelier over the course of 600 hours. Featuring the brand’s signature Barocco pattern on mesh printed metal and and gold Medusa ’95 emblems at the shoulder straps. “When Beyoncé called to design a look for her for the Renaissance World Tour, I knew I had to use our Barocco print and metal mesh. Versace icons for the iconic Queen B,” Versace says. The dress is worn over a long-sleeve mesh bodysuit of the same pattern, with degradé crystal embroidery detailing around the neckline. Topping off the look, Beyoncé wore a pair of over-the-knee boots and a matching wide-brimmed hat.

But of course, it wouldn t be a Renaissance show without outfit changes. In addition to her hand-print Loewe bodysuit—a tour staple which she wore during her performance with Diana Ross—and her buzzy bee costume from Mugler, Beyoncé also wore a shimmering custom Agent Provocateur bodysuit with fringe rhinestone boots, bedazzled sunglasses, and, fittingly, a birthday hat. She also donned a pink floor-length dress by Tamara Ralph complete with grand ostrich feather sleeves and rosettes on the bust. At the end of the show, wearing a silver sequined bodysuit, knee-high boots, and a cape from Valentino, her legion of dancers surprised her with flowers and a cupcake, which she gleefully blew out onstage.
