Fresh off the Super Bowl, Blake Lively has returned to the city just in time to catch the tail end of New York Fashion Week.

Lively arrived to much fanfare at Michael Kors’s fall 2024 runway show in Chelsea, joining Katie Holmes, Meghann Fahy, Gabrielle Union, and Brie Larson (among others) in the star-studded front row. “We’re both California Girls who live in New York,” Lively says of the designer. “He was the first person who showed up for me, and included me, and invited me to the party, so I will always and forever show up for him.”

Lively was decked out in a brown and white giraffe print skirt with a matching jacket from Kors’s spring 2024 collection. Underneath her draped coat, she wore a coordinating brown ribbed tee, tights, and knee-high boots. She also carried a brown purse and wore oversized earrings and rings.

When it comes to her closet, Lively is building an impressive archive for her children. “I’m a hoarder, but I like to call it a collector,” she says, before joking, “It’s a real problem. I need to stop.” These days, she particularly enjoys diving into pieces of yesteryear. “I’ve been really into vintage clothes, so I’ve been looking for a lot of vintage designer,” she says. “It makes it so special.”

Lively, who admits that she is sentimental, also appreciates that her garments enjoyed a previous (albeit unknown) life before her. “I always want to know who wore it before,” she says. “I wish I could meet the person you’re inheriting it from.” Luckily for Lively, when it comes time to pass on her clothes, she’ll surely have plenty of exciting tales to tell about them.
