When it comes to weathering storms there are few chic alternatives to the ubiquitous trench. But New York based designer Kenneth Cole is offering cover this spring with his reversible, hooded nylon ponchos and their generous, charitable bent. Featuring an urban camouflage print on one side and inky black wash on the other, the tempestuously hued unisex cape not only promises protection from a downpour, but will shower 100 percent of its net profits on AWEARNESS, The Kenneth Cole Foundation, an initiative set up by the designer and amfAR Chairman of the Board, which partners this season with Help USA to support homeless persons in America who suffer from AIDS/HIV. It’s a simple, practical solution to altruistic giving, while still keeping dry. And what could be more stylish than that?
