When you take away the parade of street style, the flurry of Instagrams, and the glitter of after-parties, Fashion Week, at its core, is about giving women the chance to see themselves differently. Such a reminder was given today backstage at Givenchy, where instead of utilizing the transformative power of adding a swipe of lipstick or a flick of eyeliner, makeup artist Pat McGrath seemed to pose the question: What happens when you remove a signature feature? And by bleaching **Cara Delevingne’**s iconic eyebrows to near nonexistence, she turned up the volume on everything else. Our eyes meditated on the model s turned-up nose, her regal bone structure, and her mischievous half-smile. It was still Cara of course, but unlike we ve ever seen her before. Not since Kate Moss chopped her beloved second-day flaxen waves into a gamine pixie have we seen such a supermodel reinvention. But then spring, by definition, is the season of rebirth.
