The road to what could be Demi Moore’s first Academy Award has been delightful to watch: She’s turned out in gilded and golden looks that method dress for the statuette we all know she deserves, and gave a rousing speech for the ages at the Golden Globes. Through her awards season campaign, fashion has been key to the megastar storytelling. But now, it’s in her accessories that Demi Moore is pulling out all the stops.

Stepping out for her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, The Substance actor was photographed in a black Schiaparelli halterneck dress, fastened with an ornate gold cuff at the neck that’s typical of the house codes. She also wore black mules, and a long black coat with gold threading and a bright pink lining for a fun pop of color. All quite restrained and chic. Then, her accessories: Her XL oval sunglasses and chunky gold detailed drop earrings.

But it was with what she toted on one arm that she really went to bat: A black and gold Schiaparelli bag, with its signature anatomical jewels that form a trompe l’oeil face, and Pilaf, Moore’s dog at previous Dogue cover star.

“I think she looks like a cross between a goldfish and Bette Davis,” Moore previous told Vogue of the chihuahua—and we still see it.

Moore is a longtime accessories pro—for Couture Week in Paris, she wore a stacked, layered black beaded necklace, with a pop of cherry red on her nails to match her red-bottomed shoes. It’s all in the details, even with your canines! Pilar, it seems, is a willing pawn.

While we don’t know yet whether Moore and stylist Brad Goreski will look to Daniel Roseberry or Giorgio Armani for her Oscars gown, surely Pilaf will have to be present for Moore’s Academy Awards moment? TBC.
