On the final night of Beyoncé’s culture-shifting, world-uniting Cowboy Carter tour, Destiny’s Child made a surprise reunion moment.

The final concert took place at Las Vegas’s Allegiant Stadium last night (July 26). It was during the Renaissance section of Bey’s set that Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams stormed the stage. “Destiny’s Child, bitch,” affirmed Beyoncé, to waves of screams reverberating through the stadium.

The trio cycled through some of their biggest hits: “Bootylicious” and “Lose My Breath” included, with Rowland and Williams joining in on Bey’s “Energy” (avec the viral “mute” challenge). It was a raucous, four-minute cameo.

Of course, it had to be a joint fashion moment: Bey wore a gold sequined bodysuit with sheer chest panelling, cinched at the waist and which fell into fringed glittery chaps. Very much in tune with the rest of her tour wardrobe. Rowland wore a studded cream bodysuit underneath her own gold chaps, with a fox tail attached. Williams wore a sparkly long-sleeve crop top and—you guessed it—gold chaps, with fringing and star details.

The last time the group reunited was back in 2018 for Beychella. Although, in saying that, the group kind of got together back in January to sing “Happy Birthday” at the 50th birthday party of Rowland’s husband, Tim Weatherspoon. And, all five original members came out for the premiere of Bey’s Renaissance concert film. Shortly after, Beyoncé and Rowland attended the opening night of Williams’ Broadway appearance in Death Becomes Her.

The Cowboy Carter tour has seen Bey turn look after custom, western-inspired, and American-flagged look. From Burberry to Loewe and Rabanne, brands have articulated their own spin on the patriotic fit and western core aesthetic for queen Bey. So too, the star spangled fashion. Miley Cyrus was the first special guest of the tour, joining Bey onstage in matching sequins in sparkles. And, across all of the city stops on the tour, the Beyhive themselves have made sure to dress for the occasion.

Now that’s a wrap on the Cowboy Carter tour, we’ll miss the big tunes and the bigger fashion. But Destiny’s Child gilded and golden performance was the jewel in the Carter crown.
