The Friday before the 2025 Met Gala, Doechii—en route to Vogue’s pre-Met fête—all but told us who she tapped to dress her for the first Monday in May when she paid homage to André Leon Talley in full Louis Vuitton.
Indeed, for her inaugural Met Gala, Doechii turned to the French house. Outfitted in a Pharrell Williams–designed Louis Vuitton short suit with a monogram tuxedo jacket in the brand’s monogram and shorts in the signature damier, she truly embodied the spirit of the night. (And in case you weren’t sure who she was wearing, she added an LV monogram on her cheekbone.) She accessorized with a burgundy pussybow that matched her knee-high socks and buckled shoes, and carried a mini Speedy bag. In the other hand: a cigar.
After a stylish tour for Alligator Bites Never Heal, a staggering four looks for the 2025 Grammys (where she took home Best Rap Album), and a Paris Fashion Week hit parade, she has already risen to full fashion It girl status. Now, on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet, she’s taking her victory lap.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen her take on the Tailored for You brief, though: Thom Browne created four bespoke, suiting-inspired looks for Doechii’s first Grammys, so it should come as no surprise that she nailed the theme on her very first Met Gala.
