An airport hates to see her coming—Dua Lipa will tell you just as much. The musician is in Paris for couture week, but as she likes to, Lipa is making the most of her time in the romantic city with her partner Callum Turner.
Lipa was first committed to Chanel’s spring 2025 show, where she was joined on the front row by Lily Rose-Depp, Jennie, and Pamela Anderson. Following this appointment, she made her way to Chez Janou for lunch with Turner, keeping on her tweed Chanel suit and ducking her massive hairbow into the cozy, jaunty Parisian haunt.
Chez Janou is tucked away on a side street in the buzzy, historic Le Marais district, easily spotted for its grass green striped awnings. The restaurant serves up Provençal-style dishes and an extensive pastis list: Fanned-out mussels au gratin almost vibrating with cheese, duck, ratatouille, a creamy tagliatelle studded with escargot.
But what everyone really comes for is the chocolate mousse. A waiter arrives at the table with a towering vase of the fluffy, decadent dessert, and ladles it with abandon onto your plate. While its outside terrace is glorious and a people watching dream on a sunny afternoon, its amber-lit insides are convivial and intimate. Likely, Lipa and Turner got to cozy up in a booth, surrounded by the delightful Marcel Pagnol posters. Getting a table during fashion week, though? Forget about it.

Later that evening, Lipa and Turner headed straight from a Tiffany Co party out to a more formal dinner with Lipa’s sister Rina at Costes, a white-tableclothed, candlelit restaurant within the opulent Costes hotel. Lipa wore a strapless black velvet gown and carried a Chanel clutch to step into its private dining rooms, where traditional gastronomy includes foie gras, a veal chop, and their famed tigre qui pleure, a marinated beef dish. As noted on its site, it’s a place to see without being seen.

Whether in Paris for tour or for fashion, Lipa creates her own gourmand getaway. On a previous trip to Paris, she and Turner were spotted having an intimate late-night dinner at Bistrot des Tournelles. It’s a revived local bistro, classic and elegantly designed that attracts a young crowd into the vibrant 12th arrondissement. It’s close to the Bastille’s opera house, and the more famous Belle Époque brasserie Bofinger. It revels in 1930s interior styles, with vintage bistrot chairs and a marble bar. The menu hopscotches nostalgic French classics while prizing locally sourced ingredients: daube de boœf à la Provençal (a chunky, thyme and tomato-heavy beef stew), a croque monsieur that makes use of Prince de Paris ham, a cordon bleu thick with comté, and all-star French desserts including baba au rhum and profiteroles. The wine list celebrates its founder Édouard Vermynck home region of Beaujolais, and features an impressive selection of naturals.

For her newsletter Service95, Lipa put together a list of her favorites in the French capital. She included Double Dragon, a Filipino-influenced fare with natural wine; seafood spot Calmato; rooftop restaurant Au Top; Early June, a wine bar with rotating chefs, and ‘bistrosteria’ Racines, which combines the gastronomy of Paris and Sardinia. She’s also previously spoke about her love of Folderol, a wine bar that serves ice-cream—you probably saw it on TikTok, or if you’re in Paris, have stumbled across some Gen Z crouched on the pavement outside with a natural red and a vanilla coupe.
And how do Lipa and Turner end a perfect evening in Paris? By dancing at the Eiffel tower of course. Make some room for tomorrow’s pastry run.
