To absolutely nobody’s surprise, Elle Fanning hit the ground running in Cannes, delivering some fabulous fashions before she even walked the red carpet.

Fanning is in town for the premiere of Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value (in which she stars alongside Renate Reinsve, Stellan Skarsgård, and Cory Michael Smith), and will no doubt have some tricks up her sleeve. But even her off-duty fashions are nothing short of chic.

The actor arrived at the Hôtel Martinez in cool, movie star style, dressed in a Shushu/tong trench coat, gray-brown trousers, Cartier sunglasses, and toting a black Hermès Box Kelly. But for her first walk about town, she opted for something more summery, donning a fresh-off-the-runway dress from Chanel resort 2026.

Fanning wore look 58 from the Lake Como show: A pink minidress with a fitted, cross-neck bodice and a two-tiered, drop-waist skirt. Look closely and you’ll see the telltale interlocking C logo emblazoned across the dress in a low-contrast pink. The actor brought an edge to the sweet look with black accessories—a pair of patent leather mules, rounded cat-eye sunglasses, and a Cartier Baignoire watch on her left wrist.
