Press for Dune: Part Two is well underway, and the film’s stars—Florence Pugh, Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Austin Butler—are each putting their own spins on method dressing.

At the Mexico City photo call today, Zendaya (styled by Law Roach) channeled the Shai-Hulud with a futuristic dress from Torishéju, and Chalamet leaned into his inner Paul Atreides with a beautifully draped cowl neck from Hermès.

It seems like Pugh also paid homage to her character—the austere Princess Irulan—who is seen in the trailer wearing metallics and neutrals. Pugh wore a custom sheer, ab-baring two-piece set covered in silver, diamond-shaped appliqués from Galvan. Her floor-length skirt featured a sexy, thigh-high slit, which showed off her strappy silver Aquazurra sandals. She accessorized with choice jewelry from Shaun Leane: a diamond choker that snaked around her neck, and silver earrings that climbed up her ear, which she coordinated with her subtle septum piercing.

Pugh is a dedicated fan of the sheer trend—her liking to it evident with the hot pink number she wore to the Valentino Haute Couture show in 2022 and her sweet red dress from the 2024 Golden Globes. “Anything sheer is so magical,” she told Vogue in July. “If you feel comfortable, and the clothing allows you to feel comfortable, it’s like a little present that you get to have. As well as the dress being on you, it’s also your body underneath.”

When it comes to embodying their characters on the red carpet, some actors lose themselves in the role. But Florence Pugh, with an ironclad sense of self, always knows how to find individuality in her wardrobe.
