Halle Berry is the latest celebrity to go all in on naked dressing.
Last night at the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix’s The Union, the Oscar winner hit the carpet in perhaps her most daring look to date: a black long-sleeve bodysuit with a plunging V-neck made of sheer mesh and lace panels, and a knee-length lace skirt. While plenty of designers take a stab at the trend, Berry (and stylist Lindsay Flores) turned to the masters themselves—lingerie titans La Perla.
With such a statement-making dress, she kept the accessories to a minimum, only adding a pair of demure hoop earrings and a couple of rings. Berry’s curly, chin-length bob and her Mary-Jane pointy-toe heels (also sheer), added a 1920s touch to a sexy, 2024 look. The actor was undoubtedly feeling herself when she hit the Egyptian Theater’s black carpet. With her head turned over her shoulder, she smiled and offered a wink to the camera.
Halle Berry isn’t the only star to embrace diaphanous dressing this week. At the premiere of Emily In Paris, Phillipine Leroy-Beaulieu (who plays Sylvie Grateau) chose a latte-hued Saint Laurent number from the brand’s fall 2024 collection. If these two radiant women have anything to say with their slinky naked dresses, it’s that looking hot is eternal.
