Who’s that guy? Tonight at the Marrakech International Film Festival in Morocco, Jacob Elordi stepped out with a bold new grooming look—and the actor was all but unrecognizable. (If it wasn’t for his signature thick brows, that is.) The Euphoria and Saltburn star, who is serving as a juror at the festival alongside Luca Guadagnino and Andrew Garfield, debuted an impressively bushy beard while attending the premiere of Justin Kurzel’s crime drama The Order.

Naturally, the actor—and more recently, Bottega Veneta ambassador, partly thanks to his longstanding and well-documented love of the brand’s handbags—stepped out in style. For the event, Elordi wore a Bottega Veneta (what else?) tuxedo jacket and trousers, with an open collar shirt and a lizard brooch from the spring 2025 collection pinned to his lapel for an additional debonair touch. Bonus points, too, for his unexpected shoe choice: look closer at the black patent boots Elordi was wearing, and you’ll spot the playful detail of a gentle curve up at the toe.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Elordi has delivered a surprise in the grooming stakes: the star has been known to sport an ’80s mustache from time to time, as well as the occasional moment of artfully grown-out stubble. The only question that remains: Is Elordi simply trying out a new look in his downtime, or is he growing the beard in preparation for an upcoming role? Perhaps Nate Jacobs is set to sport a beard in the third season of Euphoria, which begins filming next year, or the look could be in preparation for his role as the monster in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein—and that’s without mentioning his upcoming turn as Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights.
