When Julia Roberts has a new project coming up, it means we ll get to see more of her signature elegant style. The actor is in the midst of promoting her new Netflix movie, Leave the World Behind, and lately she’s been showing off how to put a twist on more conventional looks.
Just last week, the star of Pretty Woman was photographed wearing metallic, fringed pumps to match a pink tailoring set. But in this latest New York appearance, she wore a plaid cape coat over a gray sweater. The winning touch was the leather-effect leggings matched with Gucci loafers.
Some shy away from this type of legging. Others wear them only for parties, but Roberts has just given us a lesson on how to wear them in a more everyday, yet sophisticated look. The Wolk Morais cape by itself is already a statement piece, but she took a further risk with the leather textured bottoms. She added a classic touch with Gucci Horsebit loafers, a signature of the Italian brand.
It’s no wonder Roberts has embraced leggings. They’ve been on the come up ever since brands like Sacai and Blumarine featured it in their fall 2023 runway shows. They were styled with Y2K flair, but that can be changed with the right accessories. We only need to look at the Oscar winner to confirm it.
