Who cares that it’s only Tuesday? Katie Holmes knows that time is a construct and vacation is a state of mind. At least, that’s what we’re picking up from her latest look, which better befits a weekend in the Hamptons than a stroll through the crowded city streets.
An eternal fan of pared-down looks, Holmes’s most recent outfit is no exception. She wore a khaki-colored crewneck T-shirt, which she declined to tuck into her pants, leaving it casually bunched around her waist. While her shirt gave the outfit an undone quality, her pants were anything but: immaculate white flairs with a crisp pleat. Always one to add a ladylike touch, she donned black ballet flats with a matte toe.
Holmes, who recently unveiled a collaboration with A.P.C., added a vacation vibe to her minimal look with her accessories. She shielded her eyes from the sun with a pair of oval tortoiseshell sunglasses, and toted a white cargo weekend bag with brown leather trim from Tusting.
Phone in hand, Holmes just as well could have been mapping to her Airbnb or the Jitney than navigating the well-worn streets of her home. For anyone homebound this summer, consider the Katie Holmes method of walking around town with luggage, just to feel like you went somewhere.
