Why go on vacation when you can bring the vacation to you?
Katie Holmes may be in New York City, but that didn’t stop her from daydreaming about the lush Balinese landscape. Holmes took a stroll in the Upper West Side in a Faithfull T-shirt and midi skirt set, printed with various Indonesian flora and fauna.
The actor is no stranger to dressing for vacation—in fact, most of her looks are suitable, lowkey outfits perfect for meandering along a beach, or exploring a new city. (Between her penchant for oversized button-ups, trendy sneakers, and timeless bags, she’s a go-to inspiration for travel style.) But in this body-hugging set—a much louder look for the usually subdued actor—Holmes makes the case for imaginative dressing, even when you’re stuck at home.
Holmes turned to trusty wardrobe heroes to accessorize her more outré skirt and tee. Playing off of the warmer tones in the print, she wore a pair of Bordeaux ballet flats, which coordinated well with her leather tote. Holmes topped off her outfit with a bright blue baseball cap. Although somewhat incongruent with the rest of her outfit, it was perhaps the most trusty vacation staple of all.
