When it comes to winter fashion, Kendall Jenner has the season’s style on lock: a suite of solid outerwear, fine knit sweaters, louche pants, the perfect (obviously, by The Row) loafer. Stepping out to go shopping in Los Angeles, Jenner updated her classic trench and jeans formula with a little twist.
The model, who was shopping at Galerie Half on Melrose Boulevard and browsing their collection of vintage and mid-century antiques, opted for a largely tried and true ’fit. Once again, a look dominated by The Row: a beige cotton trench over the brand’s white straight-leg Burty jeans, the black Lilou woven leather shoulder bag, her well-loved Cartier Baignoire gold watch, and the popular black leather Eva slipper. The deviation came with the choice of an ivory fringed scarf tied loosely around her waist, cinching the boxy fit, collared trench coat. The scarf is by Maison Magdalena, from the Moldovan designer Magdalena Buzdugan—it’s the (very sold out!) Brisa scarf, made of virgin wool and cashmere, and provides a fun and elevated focal point to Jenner’s look.
The Row Eva flats, with their on-trend high vamp and soft nappa leather—have been heavy in Jenner’s shoe rotation. She has them in black and a deep wine red, and pairs them often with her buttery Alo activewear sets, Armani slacks, and indigo straight-leg jeans from Khaite.
The scarf-as-skirt trend took off in the summer, seen on everyone from Rihanna to Kylie Jenner. As the months got colder, the skant took over, as modeled by Jennifer Lawrence and Kendall too. Kendall Jenner, of course, is a deft hand when it comes to winter accessories, from leather gloves to babushka-esque bonnets. Throwing on a sleek little waist-cinching belt gave the look a playful extra detail.
As we step tentatively toward spring, expect more smart accessory choices from Kendall Jenner to come our way.
