This year, Lily-Rose Depp has adopted a stripped-back approach to her wardrobe, not only in terms of showing skin but also in how she has pursued a less refined, deliberately grungy style–albeit one that incorporates high-end gems like Chanel bags, Jean Paul Gaultier sets, and vintage Mary Quant bodysuits. But what really stands out are her footwear choices. Depp’s shoes often serve as a dainty counterpoint to her deliberately unpolished attire.
Over the weekend, the star of The Idol stepped out in Los Angeles wearing a grunge twist on babydoll style: a tangerine jersey minidress with a ruffled collar and button-up details at the front. She accessorized with gold jewelry and a cream leather shoulder bag. To complete her look? A pair of black leather Repetto ballet pumps with a sensible block heel–the sort some might argue are better suited to a different generation–which added a touch of elegance to her understated outfit.
Depp does enjoy a modest heel–she’s previously worn Chanel kitten heels, Worishofer low wedges, and flat Maryam Nassir Zadeh Belmont boots.
