It may be reaching the 90s in Los Angeles, but that didn t stop Lily-Rose Depp from wearing fall boots on a lunch date with girlfriend 070 Shake. The two made a pitstop at Erewhon in Studio City, Depp in an outfit perfect for the awkward summer-to-fall transition period.
While Shake dressed in a full Canadian tuxedo—complete with an acid-wash bomber jacket—Depp s wardrobe choice was a little more heat-friendly. The Idol star paired her calf-high black stompers with itty-bitty white shorts and a vintage striped Jean-Paul Gaultier mesh shirt. While her top of choice had three-quarter sleeves, its largely open back offered some ventilation. She finished off her look with a black shoulder bag, black sunglasses, and an adorable bobby pin to keep her hair off of her face.
Depp has worn this top before. She previously showed it off underneath a black leather blazer, which she paired with knee-high brown boots and a skirt and tights, proving it to be a year-round item in her closet.

Acquiring vintage Gaultier has become something of a celebrity past time, as everyone from Kendall Jenner to FKA Twigs looks to expand their collections. This Erewhon outing is the second time this week Depp has reworn vintage Gaultier. A few days ago, she recycled a skirt from the spring 1998 collection. The low-waisted mesh maxi is part of a set that Depp purchased from Pechuga Vintage. “We re happy to see Lily re-wearing her pieces from the shop, this just happens to be one of our fave. prints from 90 s Gaultier,” Pechuga s founder Johnny Valencia wrote on Instagram. We have to agree.
While we still may be several weeks out from phasing in our fall clothes, Depp s love of boots and shorts serves as a great model for when the time comes.
