We’re in the thick of summer in New York City. With heatwaves scorching the sidewalks, crowded parks, and the burning glare of the July sun, the best way to escape the city’s swelter is to head out East. And so, on a sun-soaked breezy afternoon in East Hampton, Louis Vuitton transformed a private estate into a sublime summer garden party hosted by Marie-Chantal of Greece, Natalie Massenet, and Derek Blasberg.
At 2:00 PM, guests arrived in style, chauffeured by custom Louis Vuitton Jeeps around the perfectly manicured gardens that featured sculptural chimeras, sharply trimmed trees, and the brand’s homeware offerings, including cushions, blankets, and bell lamps, placed throughout. At the main entrance, a mobile shop—once used during the pandemic for clients to shop from the comfort of their homes—showcased exclusive Hamptons offerings for attendees to peruse and purchase.
All three hosts greeted attendees—including Lauren Santo Domingo, Neil Patrick Harris, Gayle King, Selby Drummond, Louisa Jacobson, and more—and offered tours of the grand Saltburn-like estate. The venue featured several picturesque spots, from a serene Japanese maple tree sanctuary to an umbrella-lined lanai and a cast stone gazebo—all of which featured Louis Vuitton’s signature trunks, handbags, and more. And in a secluded corner by the main house, an artist was quietly yet meticulously hand-painting custom items that attendees had purchased.
To combat the humidity, guests were treated to refreshing berry spritzes and orange basil punches. Light bites, from miniature grilled cheese sandwiches with fig jam to caviar-topped fried potatoes, circulated among the crowd. Neil Patrick Harris and husband David Burtka tried their hand at a game of cornhole, while Lauren Santo Domingo kept it cool with some ice cream. Others basked in the estate’s serenity, such as Charlotte Groeneveld, who, in her head-to-toe Louis Vuitton ensemble, captured stunning photos by the gazebo.
As the afternoon progressed, attendees indulged in a feast at the pizza and ice cream stations, placed their bets on who the best Jenga player was, and caught up with friends on the rest of their summer plans.
