It’s been a whirlwind year for Anora star Mikey Madison. On top of being nominated across the season for her breakout role as Ani, a Brighton Beach dancer and sex worker who finds herself in a whirlwind marriage, the actor has also become a fashion and beauty darling.

“Ani’s aesthetic and the way she presents herself are integral to the story,” Madison says of her character’s glam, which included long, almond-shaped nails and sparking hot pink tinsel sprinkled throughout the star’s raven hair. “She knows how to attract in a way that is authentic to herself.”

Tonight, Madison walked the red carpet at the 2025 Oscars, where she is nominated in the best actress category. For the final night of awards season, makeup artist Melissa Hernandez and hairstylist Rena Calhoun created the look.

“Mikey’s dress gave instant Breakfast at Tiffany’s energy with its classic, elegant, and timeless feel,” Hernandez says. “I took that as a starting inspiration point, then dialed up the drama with a sculpted liner and a softly smoked lower lash line for that modern allure. All about depth, definition, and a little mystery.”

The actor and her stylist, Jamie Mizrahi, selected a black Dior gown and a vintage platinum and diamond necklace by Tiffany Co. that is believed to be from the early 1900s and has 17 graduating diamonds with a teardrop pendant holding a large dangling center diamond. Madison s dress is a faithful reproduction of the Bal à Paris look, which was designed by Christian Dior himself for the spring-summer 1956 collection and took more than 400 hours to recreate.

With a focus on the eyes, Hernandez reached for the Armani Beauty Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in black, the Eye Tint in shades of champagne and black, and the Vertigo Lift Mascara, which launches at the end of this month. “The liner was the moment,” Hernandez adds. The rest of the face was kept natural: Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation for the base and the iconic Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Cheek Tint (also a favorite of Sabrina Carpenter) to sculpt.

Much like Ani’s dedication to her bold beauty look, Madison has stayed true to her glam identity all season long, too. “I don’t usually wear a liquid eyeliner on my own as I haven’t quite mastered it, but I do love a dark brown or sometimes black smudge under the eyes and on the top corners,” she adds.
