Ms. Tina Knowles is a trendsetter in her own right. When no one else was wearing cowboy hats and boots on the streets of LA, she was getting made fun of for it. “I am in heaven knowing that I’m fashionable [now],” she told Chloe and Vogue’s beauty commerce writer Kiana Murden on this week’s episode, referring to the recent uptick in Western wear on the runways.

Ms. Tina came to the studio dressed in a beautifully tailored Alexander McQueen suit, a gold Schiaparelli belt with eyes and ear charms dangling from it, and her signature red lip, ready to share everything that she’s been up to—namely, launching Cécred, a haircare line for all hair types, with her daughter Beyoncé in February. When her kids were younger, Ms. Tina had a salon called Headliners where she would experiment with haircare products and recipes—so this is a full-circle moment for her. (And, luckily for our listeners, Cécred is offering 15% off of orders on cecred.com through June 6 using the code CECRED15.)

Besides working with her daughter, Ms. Tina has also been busy chaperoning her grandchildren to school; getting pointe shoes for her granddaughter Blue Ivy, who has been taking ballet lessons; and seeing her grandson Jules make his modelling debut in Bushwick for Luar. Ms. Tina revealed that Solange decided not to sit with her and Beyoncé at the show, knowing that their appearance would cause a lot of commotion. But to Ms. Tina, it was all worth it.

Earlier in the episode, Radhika Seth, British Vogue’s film and culture editor, hopped on Zoom straight from Cannes’s Palais des Festivals before a screening of The Apprentice. She gave the hosts a rundown of her favorite from the festival so far, with The Substance, a film by Coralie Fargeat starring Demi Moore, coming out on top. The group also couldn’t help but marvel over some of their favorite Cannes fashion looks, including Sienna Miller in her loose-fitting Schiaparelli jeans, Hunter Schafer in all white Prada, and Isabelle Huppert in Balenciaga. What a week!
