From easy, brainy chic at Christophe Lemaire to baby’s first Balenciaga show, here are all the hits from day two of Paris Fashion Week.
1. The exquisite carpet at Dries Van Noten: It was hand-tufted to approximate a mossy glen, and the show closed with models doing their best dejeuner sur l’herbe. Dreamy, romantic, decadent—an inspiring start to the afternoon. (And we want some for our apartments!)
2. Christophe Lemaire’s spring 2015 debut at the Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, this morning: a perfect setting for clothes that conveyed an imbued sense of easy, smart chic.
3. Buly 1803, a true retreat from the hubbub of fashion week in St.-Germain-des-Près. Walk in, breathe deep. Beauty products inspired by ancient secrets are gorgeously packaged and hand-lettered for the purchaser. Go get your Christmas shopping done now.
4. Balenciaga’s show, with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and co. in attendance: Not only was the entire family Kardashian present (and little North West in a Yeezus tee!) in the front row, Alexander Wang had appeared to capture clouds under the glass-paneled floor. Talk about atmosphere.
