With over a million spectators in 2024, the US Open is one of the most eagerly anticipated and feverishly attended sporting events in New York City. Summer may be winding down, but a flurry of tennis fans is set to descend upon the Arthur Ashe Stadium for the tournament’s most high-stakes matches.
Beyond the courts, New York City also comes alive in the spirit of the US Open, with bars, restaurants, and hotels offering themed drinks, bites, and events all across town to celebrate the occasion. From ping-pong matches to inventive riffs on the Honey Deuce cocktail (the tournament’s official drink), there are plenty of ways to join in. Ahead, your download on all the happenings starting now and extending through the men’s singles final on September 7.

As if you needed another excuse to visit Fouquet’s New York, the Tribeca hotel will be serving their very own Fouquet’s Deuce cocktail for the entirety of the tournament at the property’s Le Vaux rooftop, as well as the Titsou Bar. Their version of the classic cocktail replaces the sweet raspberry liquor with an herbaceous honey liquor and is garnished with dehydrated honeydew melon and fresh raspberry.

An afternoon tea at The Plaza is always a treat, but even more so when it’s tennis themed. The property is partnering with Lacoste to offer an exclusive tea service at The Palm Court from August 13 to September 10 in celebration of the US Open. The menu is inspired by Le Café Lacoste and includes bites like Le Crocodile dessert—a tasty pistachio entremets. Resembling a Grand Slam trophy, each item is presented on a sterling silver three-tier stand, and the curated service will incorporate decor pieces, like original vintage racquets invented by none other than René Lacoste.
For attendees using public transit to reach the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, add in a little buffer time to your journey to swing by a bar pop-up on the east side of the station’s Vanderbilt Hall. The experience is rounded out with dishes like Grand Slam Bites and the Ace Burger, plus outdoor ping-pong for good measure.
Over in Williamsburg, the Wythe Hotel’s beverage director Jarett Karlsberg created a tennis-themed cocktail in celebration of the US Open called the 40 Love Spritz. “It’s a spritz version of the Honey Deuce,” he says. Local vodka is shaken up with Chambord, lemon juice, and simple syrup; then topped with soda and garnished with a cucumber spear. “It’s light and refreshing and tastes like a raspberry and a watermelon had a baby.”
Slip into The Wall Street Hotel in downtown Manhattan for their flavorful Match Point cocktail. This riff on the Honey Deuce is made with Grey Goose Gooseberry, cantaloupe, lime, and Cocchi Americano. The refreshing tennis-themed sipper is available at Lounge on Pearl and La Marchande from August 1 to September 7.
The caviar chicken nuggets that “broke the internet” at last year’s US Open are back for 2025, and expanding beyond Arthur Ashe Stadium’s Club Level. This year, they’ll also be available at a CQDQ branded stall in the Food Village, serving up favorites like crispy chicken sandwiches, the cult-favorite nuggets, and a few off-menu delights. For those who can’t attend the tournament, head to the Flatiron District restaurant where they ll be offering a themed iteration of their The Egg cocktail. This limited-time creation (called the Double Deuce) transforms the signature egg-shaped ice cube into a tennis ball.
If you find yourself in NoMad, pop into the newly debuted Hotel Seville NoMad (formerly The James NoMad) to order a Honey Deuce-inspired cocktail at Il Bar in the lobby.
