Usher and Jenn Goicoechea have reportedly made things official.
According to People, the singer and his longtime girlfriend married over the weekend in Las Vegas—just as Usher performed at the Super Bowl. (His electric set included crowd-pleasing performances of “My Boo,” “Love in This Club,” and “OMG”—some of which were sung while he moved around the stage on roller skates.)
The news comes after the couple was said to obtained a marriage license in Clark Country, Nevada, earlier in the week. While the exact date of the wedding is still unclear, People does say the couple has now legally tied the knot.
Usher and Goicoechea were first photographed together at producer Keith Thomas’s 40th birthday party in June 2019. They have two children together, Sire and Sovereign. (Usher also has two older sons from a previous marriage, “Cinco” V and Naviyd Ely.)
In the years following, Usher has gushed about Goicoechea to the press: “Listen, when you find someone that you know is a great partner, of course, it is an honor and a pleasure to be able to share life with someone who wants to share it with you and loves you, who you are,” Usher told People of their relationship. “We’ve obviously made a commitment for life together because of our children.” Meanwhile, in Vogue’s digital cover story with the star, Usher said he was currently prioritizing being a good partner to Goicoechea and raising his four children.
Now, it seems they have taken their commitment to the next level.
