Not two weeks ago, ahead of her spring 2026 Paris Fashion Week show, Victoria Beckham braved the rain as only she could: shielded by an umbrella, dressed in her own brand, Hermès Kelly flung wide open.
It seemed, at the time, that Beckham was taking cues from one of the season’s prevailing styling choices: open bags. Seen at the likes of Dior, Chanel, and Loewe, the haphazard styling trick has quickly found celebrity fans among Beckham and Jennifer Lawrence.
Yesterday, for lunch at estiatorio Milos in New York, Beckham decided to up the ante when it came to her Hermès bag collection. She swapped her larger latte-hued Kelly for a much rarer piece: a limited edition black Hermès Kelly en Désordre that first appeared on the fall 2022 runway. The small black shoulder bag is distinguished by its askew closure, the flap sitting diagonally across the purse’s trapezoidal body.
Coordinating with her black bag, Beckham wore a monochromatic look for her NYC outing, pairing a form-fitting black long-sleeve with a black midi skirt that fell below her calves. And, although the designer is partial to wearing her own brand (she is her own best customer, after all), she opted for a pair of sleek black Saint Laurent mules. She finished off her look with a subtle gold anklet and her signature oversized black sunglasses.
But that’s not all, folks! Today, Beckham showed off another limited-edition bag from her impressive Kelly collection: a Tri-Color Kelly Sellier 32, with a maroon and tan body and a red flap, which she coordinated with a drapey raspberry midi dress, ballet pink pointy-toe pumps, and her face-obscuring aviators.
So what, then, if Victoria Beckham gets a little rain in her Kelly? After all—as she reminded us today—it’s one of many.
