Bumble and Over The Moon Hosted a Dreamy West Village Breakfast for Their New Collection

A funny thing about working at Bumble, according to chief brand officer Selby Drummond: the company regularly receives wedding invitations from all over the world. “Couples are grateful to have been brought together by the app,” she explains. And that got them to thinking: while Bumble, as an entity, doesn’t exactly have the ability to attend a reception, perhaps they could still help people mark the milestone in some way.

Enter Bumble’s new collaboration with Over The Moon, the e-commerce platform and online registry, which launches July 6. From ring dishes to Champagne flutes etched with “Here’s to Making Moves," the collection marries the dating app’s signature bee motif with Over the Moon’s romantic sensibilities—and act as the perfect gifts for any soon-to-be-married couple.

To launch the line, Drummond and Over The Moon founder Alexandra Macon (who is also a Vogue contributing editor) hosted a breakfast in the garden of the Waverly Inn. Greeting guests was a flower wall of yellow roses, along with trays of creamy iced coffee and avocado toast. In attendance? Augusta Cole, who masterminded and executed the dreamy aesthetic of the morning, Hill House Home founder Nell Diamond, as well as designers Danielle Frankel and Patricia Voto. Bronson van Wyck and Fallon Carter—who, like Cole, rank on Vogue’s top event planners—also milled about the room, with Vogue’s Allie Michler.

Yet the true guests of honor? The several engaged couples who met on Bumble and got to view the collection for the first time.
