Fashion Rocks—Amadeus-Style—At Dior

Fashion can be as seductive as Casanova, most especially when the art of the ateliers is on display. This spring at Dior, Raf Simons adapted the painstakingly handworked eighteenth-century-inspired embellishments he showed at couture for ready-to-wear, using floreat embroideries of the sort that were used on men’s frock coats in the days of Marie Antoinette—and they looked just dandy.
