Last night, everyone headed uptown to celebrate David Koma’s 10th anniversary with a dinner party that felt much more winter wonderland than it did Halloween. Hosted by the British Fashion Council’s chief executive Caroline Rush, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, and Denise Magid of Bloomingdale’s, the evening kicked off with craft cocktails at The Peninsula New York’s pop-up rooftop bar, Chalet de Ning. The space had recently undergone a winterized transformation with translucent igloo lounges, electric fireplaces, faux snow-kissed trees, and après-ski-inspired decor—a slice of the Swiss Alps in the Big City!
For the main event, guests, including Barbara Palvin, Alanna Arrington, Olivia Palermo, Sara Sampaio, Amilna Estevao, Alex Koma, Aly Raisman, Yasmin Wijnaldum, Elizabeth Sulcer, Shea Marie, and Patrick Mackie, made their way to the Clement Restaurant for a surf-and-turf feast: tangy Hawaiian yellowtail ceviche and zaatar-roasted rack of Colorado lamb.
Surrounded by his family and friends, Koma thanked everyone for a decade’s worth of love and support. To wrap up the cozy evening, dainty petit fours were served for dessert—a touch of sweet in anticipation of today’s Halloween sugar rush.
