Dree Hemingway Invited Guests to Get Comfy at a Pajama Party for Emilia Wickstead’s New Sleepwear Line

Last night Dree Hemingway hosted a dinner (followed by a sleepover) at the exclusive San Vicente Bungalows to celebrate the launch of Emilia Wickstead’s nightwear collection for MatchesFashion.com.

Upon arrival, everyone was greeted with a monogrammed eye mask and pajamas from the collection. Guests like Natalie Kingham, Djuna Bel, Nikolai Haas, Langley Fox, Lisa Marie Fernandez, and Nathalie Love sported their masks like headbands while sipping Champagne at a cocktail hour before tucking into a dinner of salmon, cauliflower steak, and flourless chocolate cake. The meal was served in the club’s private dining room, which was enlivened by Wickstead’s mother who splashed the space with prints from the PJ collection, pale-pink orchids, and flickering candles.

“The nightwear collection is very much Hollywood-themed in terms of where my inspiration came from—and you can see that in the belt and the pocket detail. And so,” said the designer to a crowd of friends and family, “Los Angeles was the perfect place to celebrate Hollywood glamour.”

The sleepwear line is the first for the designer and includes nightgowns, playsuits, robes, and separates across two feminine prints: a pink monogrammed pattern and a blue floral print.

When it came to hosting the dinner, Hemingway explained, “I’ve known Emilia since her first collection. I wore a dress of hers to an event out here in Los Angeles and that was probably 10 years ago. We’ve been really close friends ever since, so I was really excited to host the dinner tonight, and thought the idea of a sleepover would be really fun.” Hemingway was, of course, absolutely right about that.
