Sarah Paulson, Aurora James, and More Celebrated FoundRae’s First Los Angeles Store

FoundRae celebrated the opening of its first Los Angeles store location on Thursday evening, the latest of Melrose’s endless reservoir of shopping destinations. Beth Hutchens, in town to celebrate, fêted the milestone (which comes just shy of the brand’s upcoming 10-year anniversary) with an intimate cocktail that brought out its closest well-known supporters, including Sarah Paulson, January Jones, Aurora James, and Allison Janney.

The new location was the backdrop for the picturesque evening, guests taking in the intricate details of the store’s wood-heavy interior, with accents such as the brand’s own chained candle holders and multi-purpose decorative plates adding a touch of warm homeyness. The store’s most stunning details—a backlit ceiling of constellation-esque symbols likely familiar to its fans, which Hutchens calls “a map of the brand’s ethos.”

As the store filled for a small party, guests took to mingling both indoors and outdoors, light bites and drinks galore, and spent the evening trying on their favorite pieces.
