Gucci disciples descended upon the brand’s 5th Avenue flagship store on Wednesday evening to toast the Zumi, the latest handbag collection from the maison.
The Zumi capsule is named in honor of actor and experimental musician Zumi Rosow, who carried the bag in Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2019 runway show in Paris. The collection spans a variety of different styles from large totes to bucket bags, but all evoke that signature Gucci quirk.
Amid cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres, partygoers enjoyed deejay sets from Rosow herself as well as a special poetry reading, which was dedicated to the honoree, by Alaska Lynch.
The capsule collection is available now in stores and online.
