Victoria Lampley and Michael Berens’s Wedding

Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn2/30My dear friend and London-based photographer Ithaka Roddam came by with a group of our closest friends to help me get ready. She took this photo of me standing on the porch of my wedding suite at The Dunmore, minutes before I slipped into my wedding dress.

Photo: Sabrina Lightbourn5/30From left: These are three rings that hold great sentimental value to me; I wore each of them on our wedding day. The first one is a vintage H.Stern Sputnik ring, it belonged to my maternal grandmother, Vera Mallis. She was a natural beauty with a contagious laugh, an avid traveler, a culture addict—she brought this ring back from a trip to Brazil. My mother, Joanne Metcalf, gifted me the ring when I moved to New York to be with Michael. One could say it’s a lucky charm—I never take it off. The middle ring my father, Jim Lampley, gave to me to wear on the wedding day. It is literally 100 years old to the year and was my great-grandmother Mildred Askew Lampley’s engagement ring. The third ring is my family crest signet ring from Richard Ogden, my stepfather, Justin Metcalf’s, family jeweler in London. My mother and sisters each have one.
