Pandora Partied the Night Away With FKA Twigs to Launch Its New Collection
At The Halo in downtown Manhattan on Monday evening, the mood was suitably serene. The venue—familiar to some as a blank-canvas space where designers often present their New York Fashion Week shows—was transformed into a different kind of pink-carpeted runway for the night. In an angelic white silk slip dress adorned with Pandora Talisman charms, supermodel Alex Consani flitted about, setting the pace.
Ushering in a busy week of shows and fêtes, Pandora worked its magic on the 30,000-square-foot location, creating an expansive lounge with multiple bars, a stage, mini-rooms, and a dozen themed installations. The one-night-only experience was so elaborate that one TikTok creator was overheard asking why they’d never been to this “club” before.
The evening was conceptualized by the Copenhagen-headquartered jewelry brand to unveil its Talisman collection—a new line of medallion-style charms inscribed with Latin mantras and meaningful motifs, including snakes, swallows, cupids, and cherry blossoms. Upon arrival, guests took a quick quiz at a pink arcade machine to match them with their perfect personal Talisman charm. But why pick just one when you can stack them all? Pamela Anderson, in Bevza, arrived layered in gold-coin medallions of varying sizes.
Further fueling hopes of a collaboration, mononymous musicmakers Tyla and Ciara gravitated toward each other to debrief on the previous night’s MTV Video Music Awards in a makeshift VIP area. Breakthrough girl group Katseye sparked a flurry of excitement—especially when Consani slipped into their formation, declaring herself the unofficial seventh member. The event also brought out a whole host of new Netflix faces, including Megan Stalter—the effervescent lead of Lena Dunham’s Too Much—Wednesday’s Joy Sunday, and Lachlan Watson of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
With their prized Talismans in hand, attendees made their way through interactive stations, pausing for glittery martinis, gold-leaf chocolate bars, candied oranges, and seafood served in pearlescent shells. Each stop around the room brought the collection to life and appealed to the senses in one way or another. Behind a velvet curtain, photographer Hunter Abrams had set up a portrait studio. Elsewhere, people wrote kind messages for strangers or listened to poetry read by Ciara Chantelle. Proving particularly popular, there was a two-hour wait for a fine-line tattoo—one that Tommy Dorfman happily signed up for.
Later in the evening, designer and DJ Heron Preston took over from Rae Sada. For one final treat, FKA Twigs strode onstage to perform hits including “Home With You,” “Eusexua,” and “Cellophane,” accompanied by a harpist. As her pristine voice rang out, you could hear a pin drop as guests watched in awe. The only other sound? The many silver Talisman charms jangling at her wrists.
