Photographed by Kevin Tachman1/14This photo was taken at the conclusion of our shamanic wedding, at Tom s sister s house, Damsels Farm. Tom s childhood nanny, Lina, is from Samoa, and she made fresh garlands and lei d us as a part of the service. There were many different symbolic elements to the ceremony. At one point, we actually had corn flour thrown on us. As you can imagine, lots of giggling ensued.
Photographed by Kevin Tachman2/14Our friends and family formed two lines for us to exit through after the ceremony concluded. Our nephew, Cecil, decided to lead the way.

He knew that Tom and I weren t sure where to do our party, so he offered his house up, which was incredibly generous and special.

Photographed by Kevin Tachman5/14I had the most wonderful florist, Juliet Glaves. Juliet usually grows all her own flowers, but it was still frozen in England so we imported a lot. Mimosas were our starting point.
The mimosa garland was one of the first things I envisioned when I started planning my wedding, but Juliet really went above and beyond. The whole party smelled of mimosas.
