The Best Naked Dresses and Sheer Looks From the 2024 Met Gala

The naked dress trend isn’t over yet. The 2024 Met Gala continues to prove that the red carpet—and the stars who walk it—love a sheer, barely-there moment that reveals almost everything. While the carpet was significantly more tame than the Vanity Fair Oscars party, plenty of celebrities made the case for exposed lingerie moments, adorned with floral and garden-inspired details fitting for the evening’s theme.

While some like Emily Ratajkowski chose to bare in vintage Versace, others like Brie Larson kept it more covered up, layering an opaque layer underneath their sheer outer layer. Singer Kelsea Ballerini chose a see-through look from Michael Kors Collection that featured pink and orange floral motifs, while Kim Kardashian even partook in the trend in a custom look from John Galliano. (The metallic Maison Margiela Artisanal look featured a tightly cinched corset on the top that transitioned into a see-through embroidered gown.)
