This Stealthy Designer Bag Is Taking Over Fashion Month

Whether they’re attending the shows in New York or Europe, the celebrities, models, and VIP editors have a tendency to sport the latest accessories before they become a bonafide trend. Ever since New York Fashion Week kicked off earlier this month, many stylish showgoers have been carrying Loewe’s new Squeeze bag—the luxury Spanish brand’s follow-up to its widely successful Puzzle bag. Introduced in its fall 2023 collection and released this month, the bag is made of soft nappa lambskin and features a ruched silhouette, complete with a gold-chained shoulder strap. It comes in small ($3,950) and medium ($4,950) sizes, and in shades such as black, brown, green, and burgundy.
Why this bag now? It’s a suitable accessory for the moment, now that shoppers are craving clean, effortless ensembles. Similar to loose, easy tailoring trending on the runways, the Squeeze bag is dressy and luxe-feeling without being too precious or structured. Plus, it goes with virtually any ensemble, and can easily be dressed up or down. In New York, for instance, Aimee Song gave her black bag a casual-cool feel with a brown knit and leather skirt; in London, Alexa Chung dressed it up in a more whimsical way, with an Elvis Presley–printed dress by Ashley Williams. The bag has even made its way outside of fashion week, too: Emily Ratajkowski wore it in New York just this week, with a red knit skirt and Uggs.
