Emilio Pucci: Fall 2006 Ready-to-Wear

We re doing Ali MacGraw,

kind of like a 70s natural, natural skin, blushed, healthy.

A little bit of sandy color,

like on the upper crease and,

I m cheating some liquid liner, like in the eye lashes,

and a little bit on the eyebrows too.

So we got a little bit of everything,

but done in a really minimalist fashion.

♪ And the message coming from my eyes ♪

[Guido] Very young, kind of like,

east-coast American Ali MacGraw from the 70s.

Very simple, very cool.

Just brushing it, like in the the 70s;

you had, very sort of, innocent hair.

It was before it got into layers

and kind of, frosting hair and all that.

It was much more, sort of, simple.

[high energy rock music]

[Ladomia] Matthew represents, and is,

the youngest creative director we ve ever had.

You know, and he s in his early 30 s.

And he didn t know really, the 60 s, and he s giving

to the whole collection of feel, of so much today.

And I think that s fantastic.

So, you know, of course, there s references

to the 60 s, or whatever, but it s very much

in today s mode and you ll recognize the new interpretation

of Pucci, but a very desirable, young, Pucci.

And I think that s fun.

[bass thumping beat]

[Matthew] It s about creating a fresh, new look for Pucci.

There is, of course, a respect for the brand

and what they ve achieved so far.

Kind of, an observation of what s been done,

and then, me doing my new thing.

[bass thumping beat]

[Matthew] It s a whole wardrobe, there s suiting,

there s tailoring, there s great accessories.

It s kind of girly, not in an obviously sexy way.

It s slightly more, irreverent and cheeky.

[Sienna] I love Matthew, he s one of my best friend s.

I think he s incredible fantastic with color,

and nobody works with color, really like him.

So, he s perfect for, such a colorful,

vibrant brand as Pucci, you know?
