It s super chic, elegant, very feminine

50s and 60s wing on the eyelids,

a very, very dark constructed brow,

and then we have contouring on the cheekbones,

fresh matte skin and pale, pale mouth.

As you can say, you know, it s like a mask

made by silver, black and hair masks, also.

It is like the idea is like an old couture 50s.

We just gave an hint of a series of style like in the 50s,

so we used like the chignons and toupees of hair on the top.

It started with a, the tradition in Holland

to dip a baby shoe in silver.

It s basically to freeze a moment in time,

to treasure a moment that s really beautiful.

You have to think back of a beautiful childhood

and we started with that emotion

because fashion is our biggest love

and we literally wanted to dip fashion itself in silver,

so that s what we did.

All the silver you see in the show is real sterling silver.

[narration in the background]

For us it s like a veil.

And it refers to a time

where women would wear hats and veils,

so it s really about a couture kind of attitude,

very composed.

And as well it s about being introvert

and having self esteem and being true to yourself.

The clothes are really elegant and really smooth

and really beautiful.

Then you have these pieces that are just so theatrical.

It s amazing.

And then the mask and the hair, I believe it s just great.

Like, who else could bring the ideas like Viktor and Rolf.

A mixture of nostalgic and modern.

A mixture of incredible sort of the past, the glamor

and the mystery of women but also very modern,

very surrealistic in a way

but very also, in the now.

Because that s how one wants to look as well,

some of those dresses were so beautiful just so simple

and so elegant and feminine.

And I thought the choice of fabrics and the details

and of textures, were so interesting.

They re truly artists.

[playful music]

It s almost contrary to what fashion is.

So, we were looking for a sense of timelessness,

that s why we worked on, the big icons,

like the little black dress, the trench

and the white shirt and the dope heels.

[playful somber classical music]

[Viktor] All the silver is real silver.

It s not cast, it s actually dipped in silver.

But, it s kind of a complicated procedure.

So when you see a dress that s half silver,

what s underneath the silver

it s the same fabric that you see.

[playful somber music]

It was so beautiful.

If you saw the last dress it was silver,

it was so beautiful.

I was like, Oh my god!

It s incredible.

I love it.
